Alex Archibald-Binge is a Kamilaroi man from south-east Queensland. He grew up in the small town of Stanthorpe, before moving to Brisbane to study marine science and zoology. His honours project focused on early embryonic development of sea turtles.
Alex has worked in the public service for over six years, focusing on embedding First Nations knowledge and perspectives in national water policy and programs, and supporting Australia's participation in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Alex is completing a Master of International Law and Diplomacy at The Australian National University. His interests are in gaining a better understanding of international law and frameworks, to allow for more effective and meaningful inclusion of Indigenous peoples' knowledge and expertise in these processes.
