Sophie Bloomfield is a proud Wiradjuri woman from central west NSW and a leader in the Department of Defence. With a career spanning parliament and federal public sector roles, Sophie has driven complex policy, workforce and cultural reform that embed First Nations voices in the co-design of legislation, programs and strategy. Grounded in integrity, accountability and cultural authenticity, she is recognised for collaborative leadership, analytical thinking and commitment to self-determination, inclusion and meaningful, community led outcomes that advance public purpose.

Sophie is completing a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at The Australian National University, driven by a vision to harness technology and data to modernise public institutions and create scalable solutions with national and global impact. She is passionate about developing innovative, accessible and future-ready digital approaches that strengthen decision making and equity outcomes for diverse communities worldwide.
