Aiden Pearson

Aiden is a proud Muruwari man who was raised on Wiradjuri Country in Dubbo, New South Wales. He began his Australian Public Service career in 2019 at the Department of Agriculture after completing a dual Bachelor of Agribusiness and Applied Science (Equine Management). Since joining the Australian Public Service, Aiden has worked across Agriculture, Finance, and Emergency Management Portfolios, contributing to some of Australia’s most significant policy and funding responses, including the COVID-19 pandemic, major natural disasters and national recovery initiatives.

Now with the National Emergency Management Agency, Aiden works in disaster recovery programs, where he provides strategic advice on governance, funding and implementation of Commonwealth disaster recovery programs. His work focuses on strengthening recovery systems, improving intergovernmental collaboration and ensuring public investment delivers meaningful outcomes for disaster-affected communities across Australia.

Aiden completed a Master of Project Management at The Australian National University to further develop his expertise in strategic leadership, governance and the delivery of complex public sector programs. He is particularly passionate about improving how governments design, implement and evaluate major initiatives, while fostering stronger partnerships with First Nations communities to support long-term economic empowerment and resilience. Through his career, Aiden hopes to contribute to a more capable, collaborative and outcomes-focused Australian Public Service that delivers lasting benefits for all Australians.
