Climate policy Governance

Nikolai has over a decade of experience working on climate and energy policy and economics, across the public sector, think tanks and academia. He joined the Australian Public Service in 2012 and has led specialist research and analysis at the Climate Change Authority and the Office of the Chief Economist in the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

Nikolai holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Environmental and Resource Economics from the Australian National University, and is a visiting fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies. Nikolai’s PhD research examines business support and opposition to climate policy, and the policy strategies that can build support for reforms.
