Professor Vinh Lu is Director of the Research School of Management (College of Business and Economics). He is also as a member of the ANU Nominations Committee and the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy Executive Committee. Professor Vinh Lu previously served as the Associate Dean (Advancement & Engagement), Director of Employability and Director of Engaged Learning in the College of Business and Economics, and a member of the ANU Academic Board.
Professor Lu is a recipient of the ANU Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Education, Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning, national Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning from the Office for Learning and Teaching, Distinguished Marketing Educator Award from the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy, among several others.
He is the executive lead of the APS First Nations Graduate Certificate of Management Program in partnership with the National Indigenous Australians Agency since its inception in 2021. This program has attracted participants from a large number of APS agencies and departments and resulted in an excellent pipeline of Pat Turner Scholars. For its growth, impact, and the wraparound support provided to the students, the program has received significant acclaims from the ANU (Vice-Chancellor's Award for Educational Excellence, Vice-Chancellor's Award for Programs that Enhance Learning), the Australian Business Deans' Council (Award for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching and Learning), and the community (ACT NAIDOC Award for Non-Indigenous Organisation’s Contribution to the Indigenous Community).
Professor Lu completed his Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), and PhD at The University of Adelaide.
