The Sir Roland Wilson Foundation is pleased to release its 2024 Annual Report.

The Foundation continues to deliver programs that provide vital capability-building for the Australian Public Service (APS) and supports the use of evidence in public policy and service delivery for all Australians.

In 2024, the Foundation welcomed seven Sir Roland Wilson and nine Pat Turner scholars to The Australian National University (ANU) and Charles Darwin University (CDU). Six scholars returned to the APS and are now using the knowledge and expertise they gained from their scholarships across different areas of public administration, policy development, and program delivery.

Sir Roland Wilson Foundation Chair Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM noted that from humble beginnings in 2011, the Foundation has now awarded 103 scholarships.

“The impact of our investments is clear,” Dr Parkinson said.

“Through their study and research, Sir Roland Wilson and Pat Turner scholars and alumni are forging enduring links between policymaking and academia.

“In 2024, scholars and alumni continued to provide groundbreaking advice which not only informed Australia’s economic and social policy, but also directly contributed to the capability of the Australian Public Service.”

Dr Parkinson thanked Foundation partners at ANU, CDU and the APS for their ongoing support of the Sir Roland Wilson and Pat Turner scholarship programs.

“We are committed to continuing our deep collaboration, and demonstrating the impact of these investments through our work and that of scholars and alumni.”

The Sir Roland Wilson Foundation 2024 Annual Report is available from the Foundation website.
