Sir Roland Wilson Foundation 2022 Alumni Impact Report

Sir Roland Wilson and Pat Turner alumni are helping Australia solve some of its toughest challenges by translating research into effective policy outcomes.

The contributions alumni make to the Australian Public Service (APS) and to academia are highlighted in the Sir Roland Wilson Foundation 2022 Alumni Impact Report, which is now available.

Sir Roland Wilson Foundation Chair Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM said Sir Roland Wilson and Pat Turner graduates are equipped to serve Australia to the highest standards and lead the way to a better future.

“Like the rest of the nation, Australia’s public service faces uncertain times. Now more than ever we need trusted networks and proven expertise,” Dr Parkinson said.

“Our alumni are already reporting for duty.”

The 2022 Alumni Impact Report highlights the work for four Foundation alumni – Peter Bligh, Dr Helen Benassi, Trish Akee and Dr Neal Hughes.

“Peter, Helen, Trish and Neal, along with all the Foundation alumni are making valuable and game-changing contributions to the APS and beyond. Each is building impactful links between academic research and public policy in order to help address critical national and global challenges.

“While it has been an unusual and difficult year for everyone, I am extremely proud of the achievements of our alumni and our continuing scholars. I am also grateful for the continuing support of our partners ANU, Charles Darwin University and the APS,” Dr Parkinson said.
